NUVELCO has successfully conducted another benchmarking activity for the process towards ISO Certification with an electric cooperative based in Luzon. This happened within a week after the benchmarking with CAGELCO I (Cagayan Electric Cooperative I) on February 3, 2023.The second benchmarking was conducted on February 9, 2023 at NUVELCO’s head office in Gabut, Dupax Del Sur. Coming over for assistance on their ISO application as well as tips on IT and infrastructure management as well as other best practices were personnel from Quezon Province’s QUEZELCO II (Quezon Electric Cooperative II). The visiting team was led by their GM Von Erwin G. Azagra.
General Manager Fredel L. Salvador led the NUVELCO management and Quality Management System Team in showing the process towards ISO certification. He said that it is a contribution to the call of NEA administrator Almeda hence NUVELCO is doing its best to assist them in their pursuit for ISO certification.
Alongside the ISO process, NUVELCO also shared its best practices on, among others, advanced systems in meter reading and billing, systems in online collection, collection monitoring, and SCADA. In response, GM Azagra expressed thanks to the whole NUVELCO organization especially the Board of Directors led by President Dominador Lapada the Quality Management Office, QMR Raymond Navarete, and GM Fredel Salvador.
Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative (NUVELCO), in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, conducted a blood donation and first aid training on February 7, 2023.
The activity was participated by the line warriors and NUVELCO Barangay Electrician Association (NUVABEA) officers and members. General Manager Fredel Salvador lead the donation drive by first to volunteer to donate blood. This activity aimed to to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations and equip employees of NUVELCO with life-saving first aid skills, strengthening the cooperative's emergency response capabilities.

Nuvelco holds Thanksgiving Mass
Msgr. Vicente Emilio Tugadi, HP leads the holding of the thanksgiving mass on February 6, 2023.
The thanksgiving mass is in recognition of God's faithfulness to Nuvelco for all the blessings He bestowed.
Nuvelco regularly conducts a monthly thanksgiving mass and a weekly convocation per department.
This initiative is the first order of GM Fredel Salvador when he assumes office as the General Manager.
NUVELCO welcomes Cagayan 1 Electric Cooperative (CAGELCO 1) on February 3, 2023 for a benchmarking activity on the ISO Process and Certification of NUVELCO.
NUVELCO management and Quality Management System Team headed by General Manager Fredel L. Salvador conducted the knowledge sharing on ISO Process and the best practices that the CAGELCO 1 can adapt on their ISO journey.
GM Fredel pointed that it is the clarion call of NEA Administrator Antonio Almeda to capacitate all electric cooperatives and embrace changes. He also conveys his utmost support to CAGELCO 1 in their plans of undergoing the ISO process.
NUVELCO QMR Raymond Navarette then motivated the CAGELCO 1 core committee to continue with the process for the benefit of the member-consumer-owners.
NUVELCO also took the opportunity to share other best practices such as the advanced billing system, advance meter reading system, online collection system, collection monitoring system, and SCADA.
